I like it. Wonder what the profession of the perpetrator was. ... or attempted to be.

I would actually assume it was someone's initials and they were being funny.
Maybe, Juan, would work too.
That’s awesome

Oen is the loneliest number...
He who knows he has enough is rich.
He probably went to a “blab school” where they didn’t have to write anything down.
Ruined a perfectly fine coin !!!
His action doesn't make Whole lotsa cents...
That is both sad and funny.... Cheers, RickO
On a different note.....my favorite dumb criminal story was the three guys who tried to hold up a gun store with knives!
All three were taken out in body bags!
I guess they didn't realize that people who work in gun stores are just looking for an excuse to use their guns!

Maybe... it was his/her’s name?
Norwegian: habitational name from a farmstead in Hordaland named Oen, from Old Norse Ó (unexplained), or from any of several named Øen, most from the definite form of øy ‘island’. Dutch: variant of Hoen.

Nah!
Could this have been done on purpose to avoid prosecution? As in writing a proper denomination "one" would constitute counterfeiting or some other crime and writing "oen" would not?
