I love seeing the bookies get crushed. Especially since it so rarely happens.

This could be a serious loss for them. But they'll get over it.

I’ve had to endure years of the Tiger naysaying here that he will never win another tourney. His back is toast. He is toast. He will never regain form. That he will never win another major.

Redemption. So I will be impossible to deal with in the near future on this subject. o:)

    One more thing

    Tiger!

You obviously don’t play. There is zero luck involved in winning a golf tournament let alone a major. It takes 270 or so shots over 4 days under different conditions everyday. It’s grueling.

I use to play, but don't anymore. I know exactly how hard of a game it is. By lucky I meant he was lucky to play as well as he did after all of those years of not winning anything. He was a great golfer, but I still say Jack was better.

Without Jack there would be no Tiger. Tiger has "it". He's been putting his game back together and came back and did it. It is extraordinary. Tiger will tell you Jack is the best.

Great comeback win considering all that had transpired in his past. I honestly never thought he would win another Major. I was glad to see the rain hold off for the most part so everyone played on a level playing field. Exciting tournament throughout. Question now is does he have a few more Majors in him?

The best thing this 85k guy could do is take the money and run, and never patronize a sports bookie ever again. Sadly, that basically never happens.

Every bookie I ever knew would always complain that he was losing money. This one bookie in particular was always whining about how his customers were killing him week after week. Yet he had this beautiful large house and another one down the Jersey shore, as well as two very expensive luxury cars.

Tiger will tell you Jack is the best.

And he won't mean a single word of it. Tiger is the superior golfer to Jack and it is not even close. Dominating in a era when there is little to no competition like Jack did isn't that impressive. People remember the top stars from Jack's era because there were simply a few stars and a bunch of bums. Very few of the golfers from the 50s, 60s and 70s would even get a tour card on the PGA tour these days.

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/gambler-bettor-tiger-woods-masters-win-james-adducci-lengthy-criminal-history-052140167.html

Gambler who won big on Tiger Woods' Masters win reportedly has lengthy criminal history

Sunday was a memorable day for Tiger Woods, to say the least.

Woods won the Masters for the first time in 14 years, marking his first major tournament win in 11 years. The story was one that rattled the sports world, and deservedly so.

Woods, however, wasn’t the only big winner last weekend.

Wisconsin native James Adducci, 39, won nearly $1.2 million off Woods’ win at Augusta National after placing an $85,000 bet on him earlier this month. It was also, believe it or not, his first sports bet.

The sportsbook, William Hill U.S. in Las Vegas, called it its “biggest lost ever.”

Adducci told Golf Digest that he had planned to place the bet about a month before doing it, and that he cleared it with his wife first before he grabbed a flight to Las Vegas with “everything I had that I could afford to lose.”

One thing he had better have is a good explanation, with paperwork to back it up, of did he paid taxes on the 85k?

If not, he will certainly add to his criminal history.

My favorite scene was the way so many of his competitors were lined up at the clubhouse to congratulate him. They have all made a lot more money because of how Tiger has transformed the game.
Tiger as a person has been to tough to admire many times - he can be surly, vindictive and like most great golfers, entirely self- absorbed. But it has always been a thrill to watch him compete. Not my favorite golfer but certainly the best I have ever seen.

"Look up, old boy, and see what you get." -William Bonney.

    https://sports.yahoo.com/wisconsin-man-won-1-2-205557114.html

Wisconsin man who won $1.2 million on Tiger's Masters win puts six figures on historic Grand Slam bet

James Adducci has doubled down. Golf Digest has learned that Adducci, the 39-year-old Wisconsin man who won $1.19 million on Tiger Woods winning the Masters, has taken $100,000 of his winnings and placed it on Woods to win the Grand Slam.

William Hill U.S. confirmed the bet was placed on Wednesday afternoon at the SLS Casino in Las Vegas, the same sportsbook where Adducci placed—and then cashed—his first bet. Michael Grodsky, William Hill's VP of marketing, said Adducci flew to Vegas and placed the bet on Wednesday. Adducci said he flew out Tuesday from his hometown La Crosse, Wis. He called Grodsky to let him know he was in Vegas, and after about a day or so of collaborating, William Hill officials confirmed the odds and the amount they'd allow Adducci to bet.

"[William Hill] told me it’s a bet that’s never been seen before.” Adducci told Golf Digest. “To make $1 million is a step. To make $10 million is jumping to a new level.”

William Hill is licking their chops with this guy. Not only to get their money back, but get his 85k and more. Seems like only a question of when.

dude is a chronic batterer of women, so it should come as no surprise that his brain is functioning in this manner. that 85k on Tiger was purportedly the first bet he had ever placed, so there was next to no chance of him putting the crack pipe down. kinda like there is next to no chance of Tiger slamming it up this year.

for the record, Bobby Jones is the only golfer to ever win all four major championships in the same calendar year, and his feat happened so long ago that it was pre-Masters.

He is playing with house money, but it is still a very stupid bet. No way Tiger wins all 4 majors. The first bet was silly and this one is beyond stupid!
