Reverse Proof W Cent Discovered April 4'th Before Official Release!!!

Someone discovered a RP W cent, sent out with their Clad Proof Set, instead of the regular proof W cent. Sent into NGC for grading and came back with this pedigree: 2019 W 1C First Releases PF 69 RD REVERSE PROOF Mistakenly Included With Clad Proof Set. Talk about extra early releases. Shouldn't this have really gotten a Pre-First Day of Issue status? This really is coin #1.

@Hemispherical you beat me to the photo by seconds!!!!! LOL
That must have been a great surprise.... What a cool find. Cheers, RickO
Wow! Lucky!
Unless another is found before the actual Mint release date then this cent with cert number 4959820-001will probably go for moon $$$.
Wow, "cool", I like it !!!
But technically not really an error coin, and no date on slab to back it up....
True. But has several news articles and an article by ATS to establish the initial provenance.
Technically, this cent should receive 'First Strike' designation....
Well.... it is the first one found even before release....
Cheers, RickO
That’s one way to encourage massive orders of proof sets

It's NGC. While first release is still appropriate, they should definitely have gone for "early release" for this guy.
Considering that it is the same reverse proof cent that will be released shortly, should this even carry a premium at all?
Cracked out of the NGC slab, it is "normal" again.

There was a Sac buck found in 1999 that was slabbed and date on the label. Wonder if that has any value today?
Is that the Cheerios Sacs? Maybe @CaptHenway knows?
Since it is an actual “first” then it would best to keep it slabbed. I’d petition either TPGS to update the label to date the find.
The label should have included the date of discovery or at least the date it was slabbed.
