a voucher of 3 Million USD for coins (can be used for coins only) and you could buy up to three coins that exist at their current fair market value, which one(s) would you buy ? Also you will not be allowed to sell the coin(s) for 10 years this this thought game.

I wouldn't be spending money like that on coins or any other collectible.

Not sure if under 3m, but I'd like a Brasher Doubloon.

    1794 Dollar

Roman- Eid mar Caeser coin would be at the top of the list.

A stella, $10 draped bust gold and the nicest 1808 $2.50 I could afford with what's left.

Something like that, definitely all gold, maybe switch out the stella for a different early gold piece.

A Morgan Dollar, A Walking Liberty Half and a Mercury Dime. I have no idea which ones, but at that price point I'm guessing they would all be pretty spectacular! :D

    1. Lovett's Confederate cent
    2. The original Confederate Half dollar owned by Jefferson Davis.
    3. A diet coke (with the money that's left.)

You don't have enough money ...

The coins I'd like to get would come to well under $3 million.

    • A Choice AU Chain Cent ... maybe an AMERI.

    • A 1907 Periods Wire Edge $10 Gold

    • A nice Humbert $50 gold slug with edges that aren't all banged up.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I would buy my dream coins as follows
    A School Girl pattern dollar
    A 1799 Large cent
    A 1793 Chain cent
    A 1796 and 1797 Half Dollar
Finish out with some Early gold

Highest grade/nicest looking UHR Saint, Stella, and then a late 1700’s gold coin, as yet to be determined.

If I had to blow $3M on only three coins, I would get 1804, 1823, and 1827 (original) quarters in the highest grade I could get with the $3M. These are the three scarcest early quarter dates and would be awesome to own! If I could get a fourth, I’d get a 1796.
