FUN Show Purchase: 1828 Bust Quarter G-T-C

I didn't attend the FUN show this year, but enjoyed reading all the reports from collectors and dealers that attended. I did participate a little bit from afar, and was able to pick up a new bust quarter. I have a low grade example of the 1828 Browning 4 and have been looking for a nicer one for my variety set.
Its not a particularly rare variety, but I've found that they don't always come nice looking despite the fact that proofs were struck from the dies. Six denominations were minted in 1828: half cents, cents, dimes, quarters, half dollars, and half eagles. Quarters had the second lowest mintage with 106,000, while half eagles were lowest with 28,029. The Red Book lists the quarter mintage as 102,000, but the Rea/Peterson/Karoleff/Kovach book on bust quarters notes that there were 4,000 quarters reported in mint records on 12-29-1827 that are presumed to have been 1828's.
This coin was graded by NGC, and I quickly sent it off to PCGS after receiving it. I've gotten it back now, so if you'd like to play the crossover guessing game you can try to guess the NGC and PCGS grades if you'd like. Comments and pictures of any coins dated 1828 are always welcome.

Beautiful Bust Quarter... would be an MS-63 if it wasn't for the slight friction/wear on the highpoint. Lovely coin indeed. PCGS AU-58. I'm not going to guess the ATS grade because not knowing when the coin was graded, it could be all over the place.
Goegeous!
Solid 57.575 on the Technical scale

Beautiful AU-58
Here are my two from 1828.
nice quarter, I like
Some good guesses from everyone. Some have gotten either the NGC or PCGS grade, but not quite both.
The coin was in an older (pre-prongs) NGC holder. It's one of those coins that looks like it spent some time in a Wayte Raymond board. It's kind of dark when you look at it straight on, but tilt it a little and the colorful toning pops out. It really does have the color shown.
Thanks for posting any 1828 denominations, I like the half cent and other quarters posted. Anybody have the cent, dime, half dollar, and half eagle?
I'll post the grades this evening in order to give others a chance to check in today.

My Goodness is that a beautiful quarter! Who cares what the grade is?
I'm ashamed to even include my admittedly lower-grade quarters in the same thread, especially with my scuffed slabs/poor photography but here goes...

PCGS 58.
53 to a 58
I would guess the final grade is 55.... nice old coin.... Cheers, RickO

The NGC grade was MS61, and it's now PCGS AU55. I thought it would go AU58 or possibly even MS61, and was a little disappointed with the 55. Since some say grading is tight right now, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Thanks for the comments and nice pictures.

It's a damn shame that "grading" and "now" can be in the same sentence.
