I just discovered the world of jetons and counters a short time ago. Fascinating stuff. I am a big fan of the Flying Eagle design, so thought I would begin there. I chose this piece because it is unusual. No Spiel Marke on the back. It sports a second eagle, minus the branches and leaves. So far, I have not seen another one like it. I got this from a seller in France. The images are from the seller. I tried to take my own, but my phone is not up to the task. In person, the piece looks normally brassy, not chalky yellow as the images lean toward. By comparison to the quarter, you can see how tiny this piece is. The flan is also quite thin. I think this is an interesting first acquisition. If anyone has any info or theories about this piece, feel free to discuss it.
Nice Spiel token @StarredAndFeathered and welcome to the forum. There generally is not much info on them.
I do have a book that might list it but I’ll look tomorrow. I have several different one and for the most part we’re made in Nuremberg, Germany. They were used as counters these smal one could even be used by children for play money.
Others are larger and tried to emulate the US gold coins.
I think I put a few links on page one, they talk about the different types and sometimes even value
The new February issue of the Token And Medal Society (TAMS) Journal among its five + articles has a wonderful heavily illustrated five page story titled " Game Tokens In Imitation Of The Standing Liberty Quarter" by Jorge L. Crespo Armaiz, PhD showing 13 types and 24 varieties of counters that fit the title. (TAMS) Membership has its benefits - join now!
Well, I picked up another Compos. Spiel-Munze Strassburger & Nuhn Importers New York R7 several month's back and now finally imaging and trying to get things sent it for grading.
Argentina Libretad 5 Pesos / United States of America 5D
Still elusive especially better than rubbed raw. This one looks a little different to me........maybe it was gold gilt and rubbed off? I have them in brass & bronze. This just looks a little different.

Thomas Fattorini Ltd and Fattorini & Sons were friendly rivals for many years, both businesses being owned and managed by descendants of Antonio Fattorini. Thomas Fattorini Ltd is still trading, and is located in the Birmingham Jewellery quarter, where it is managed by the 6th generation of the Fattorini family. The Harrogate jewellery shop is owned and run by the Tindalls, descendants via the female line.

Steph,
These Kettle tokens arrived today and I was interested in your thoughts. They aren't "CoinsAreFun" quality, but they fit the Zoid budget.
These two are marked.

This one was attributed to Kettle, but I don't see the "signature."
I believe there were a couple "Kettle's." Father / Son?
I need to go check these against the link you posted at the beginning of this thread.

It looks pretty darn UNC to me as well.
Here are better photos (I hope).
The fields are proof-like. There is a small rim ding at 12:00 on the obverse.
Using my newly acquired Fauver books, here is what I know:
Obverse: Liberty-1010
Reverse: City Hall-1105
Composition: Brass
Rarity: R7
