Now, if a silver dime weighed 3.1 grams (tenth ounce), and a silver quarter weighed 7.775 grams (quarter ounce), and a silver half dollar weighed 15.55 grams (half ounce), and a silver dollar weighed 31.1 grams (Troy ounce) .... I'd say we would be back on track for a "standard". Wouldn't that be something ?

Maybe they should end .900 gold coinage as well and go with .999 for the Gold Eagles and modern commemoratives ?
