Not a democracy. No economy. Declining population Will always be a mess.

The population is declining BECAUSE there is no economy and no democracy. All these news sources in this thread are pure propaganda. France has had major protests for a dozen weeks now. Mexico had 33,000 murders last year. Trudeau paid a terrorist millions after he killed US soldiers. I can go on and on with every country and their corruption. What I have learned in my short 30 years is that the government will never solve your individual problems, they will simply ensure THEY keep control and the money flowing in their direction at any cost.

My state just put forth this bill. Thanks for looking out for me Jillian Gilchrest, I don't know how much longer I would have been able to last without you putting forth this new tax of FIFTY yes 50% on ammo:

    https://www.cga.ct.gov/2019/TOB/h/pdf/2019HB-05700-R00-HB.PDF

I keep my head down, accumulate as much wealth as my wife and I can save in many differennt forms...some being PM's and coins, real estate, tools, land, equities, and interest bearing assets. We do everything possible to reduce our tax base and the next thing will be to move out of this state.

Somehow, society, if one follows the news, has become very sensitive, very fragile and especially retrospectively judgemental. Individuals and groups are offended, often on others behalf, by tasteless Halloween costumes and clumsy, drunken flirtations and passes at parties, drawing false equivalence to actual assaults and hate crimes, and getting figurative torches and pitchforks for 30 and 40 year past occurrences that no one complained about at the time. If there are no skeletons of any kind in a person's past, maybe feel sorry for that boring existence. I'm just glad our generation only has a few grainy paper photos, just wait until these digital kids are running for office. Be careful kids if you aspire to hold high office!

The media has been turned into pure propaganda and the internet has been used as an easy and cheap way to monitor, influence and mold the US populations thoughts and opinions.

Not sure if you guys are familiar with reddit, but it is one of the 10 most visited web sites in the US. A few years ago Reddit put out a communication (on their blog) to indicate that Elgin Air Force Base was the most "reddit addicted city" in the US after looking at their user base. Reddit didn't realize what that really meant (using shills/bots to influence conversations and content) until people started to question why a small city in FL has the highest usage of Reddit in the country. Once Reddit admins figured out they revealed the US Airforce's work, they deleted their press release and tried to remove all mentions of Elgin Air Force base being the most "reddit addicted city" in the country. LOL.

Edited to add this link as well: https://www.businessinsider.com/ndaa-legalizes-propaganda-2012-5

It's Eglin Air Force Base. Elgin is a city in Illinois between Chicago and Rockford.

Perhaps by then, people will again be more realistic about the frailties and realities of human nature.

The fascinating phenomenon for me has been the combination of increasing license in the culture for all sorts of behavior considered worthy of social containment in the past, and unprecedented condemnation for such behavior when it occurs. Is it realistic to expect human beings to be free-standing paragons of perfection from birth?

    Is Japan a socialist society?

Is it a democracy? The people there tolerate a lot of being overseen by the government. Theres a odd sort of overhang of tradition that forces people into line that would never happen here,

There is a ton of corruption in Japan , look at the nuke meltdown incident. That company was protected when it should have been shredded , the government should have been shredded too. The government should have been overthrown after that.

Profits by connected persons or corporations chosen over the health and well being of the citizens. Outright fascism just like we have here.

I think the US is way more corrupt than that map shows . My state Mass ? half the state senators and house members wind up in jail, Mass should be purple , Illinois should be whatever is worse than purple black maybe Chicago is the literal corrupt anus of america :D . Rhode Island should be black filthy corrupt , wall to wall criminals , New York , new jersey purple or Black . Actually all the so called blue states in the US are disgustingly corrupt

All you have to do here in Taxyourtwoshits to summarize corruption is mention the reign of billy bulger.

Ya he runs the Mass senate and his brother is literally public enemy number 1 and can't be found. :D

So Billy , where is your brother? The simple question the FBI never thought to ask for 15 years. Hey Billy you are going to jail unless you tell us. Watch any TV show and you would see how they use that method to catch the guy in under 43 minutes week in and week out without fail. :D

The maps in the OP clearly show high inflation is/can be associated with corruption which seems most prevalent with dictatorships.

Conversely, the least corrupt countries have the lowest inflation.

So is the talk of hyperinflation in the USA misplaced?

    Why is this discussion poofable?

I bought an acre of land in New mexico for $50 on ebay. I wonder if I still own it ? It was a prime real estate literally inches from the mexican border and bone dry. I'd sell it but I don't want to take the capital gains hit.
