I just upgraded from a 10 cent. to a 25 and notice that there is a little sun face rising in the Caribbean and peering over to the Pacific.

This is one of my favourite coins. One of the best CAR coins that I have ever seen as far as preservation, the coin is bright like the sun!

I have a couple of Mongol sunface coins.
One from the Golden Horde:
Tokhta Khan Pulo, 1296-1297
Qrim (Crimea). Bronze, 0.97g. Sun face. Tokhta’s tamga (Lebedev M8).
Another from the Ilkhanate in Persia:
Öljeitü ibn Arghun Fals, 1303-1318
Bronze, 23mm, 2.55g. Sun-face with eight rays within square. Three-lined and marginal legends citing Muhammad Khudabanda and title al-Sultan al-Aza (Album 2190).
I haven't seen one of these yet, although the sun is similar to that on the Central American Republic coins of the 1830's & 1840's.
It is great to see more coins and types! Keep them coming if you have them.
Saw this in the DNW auction.
