It’s FRIDAY!...any new metal for the new year?

We haven’t had a metal porn thread for 2019 yet, so I thought I would drum up some business here. Let’s see what you’ve added to the stack so far this year. Been a slow start for me because we are remodeling our den, but I did pick up some gold and silver.

My purchases so far this year are actually cast iron medals from Weimar Republic, not technically precious metals but definitely precious medals, lol

Lots and Lots of these. Good on the C/S ratio:

it's been kind of slow, not to many good deals to be found in the new year .

Purchased this attractive 5 Ounce Silver Octagonal Proof Panama-Pacific Medal for a small premium over Bullion at this weekend’s Houston SW Money Show in Conroe, Texas.

It’s a beautiful design that commemorated the 100 year Anniversary of the original 1915 (MCMXV) Gold $50 Pan Pac Union.

I really haven't been out much or seen any odd looking bars yet this year to add to the casino themed section.
cmanbb, I do have an extra bar to fill that empty spot in your picture.

  • cmanbbcmanbb Posts: 927 ✭✭✭✭

@rte592 nice. Do you have any poured bars?

  • Downtown1974Downtown1974 Posts: 4,159 ✭✭✭✭✭

Great looking bars fellas. Been focusing on gold lately but I did grab this piece the other day. An impulse buy that I thought was neat.

My stack of refined scrap is growing. Not sure what the end goal is. Will be having a major refiner convert it to 999 market good product eventually.

Go for one big trapezoid bar with a custom hallmark! Or a run of stackable 1oz ers! Whatever you do, don't stop now!

Here is the image of that copper bar I picked up the other week.

I really like this little thing, and the serial number matches the atomic number, nice coincidence.

If you are a member of the VFW, the last magazine had an U.S. Money Reserve offer to purchase 2019 ASEs for $15/each. Max order is one 20 coin roll. Nice addition to the silver bullion stockpile.
