GTG: Circulated NOLA Gold (Grade Revealed in Thread)

Two different lighting samples to compensate for my lack of photography skills. This one may have taken a trip or two on a riverboat.

I'm thinking 25, but I think these had strike issues so it wouldn't shock me to see it in a 30 holder... Nice piece!

In the early ANACS days, VF-20 Cleaned.
30, cleaned, but likely straight graded.
20 to 25. A very nice piece no matter what the grade. Definitely made for the river boat gambling tables.
I would guess 25...Nice old circulated gold... probably has some great stories to tell...Cheers, RickO
Nice VF in all 4 pictures.

Thanks for all of your comments. The coin is PCGS VF-20. I think our host was a little hard on the coin when they graded it VF-20 as it looks like it has more than enough detail to solidly grade VF-25. It has nice even wear without any major distractions in the fields, and I could maybe see VF-30 on a good day. It's been a fun exercise trying to figure out how to properly photograph the coin with an i-phone so that it is close as possible to in-hand appearance. The first two photographs highlight minute markings that you don't really see with the naked eye, but they also make it seem as if the coin has a waxy appearance, which is definitely not the case. I'm pleased with how the color came out on the second set of photos, but the coin looks smoother in hand.
As I said.......
What a terrific coin! Super scarce..
