After years I finally completed the silver set of Central American proclamation medals issued by Emperor Agustin of Mexico. These rare medals were minted in Chiapas, Guatemala, Quetzaltenango, and Leon de Nicaragua. While the Guatemala is relatively available, Chiapas and particularly Nicaragua are very very rare. Today, finally done!!! For sure if I can at some point upgrade I will do, but in the meantime, please do enjoy! I also have one of the 2 gold issues, missing the mule. If someone has it, feel free to donate it to me B)

I only have one of the five. Never even thought about doing the set. Now I have no choice, dammit. Thank a lot.

Just checked Grove to see if I only need four more. No such luck.

@MrEureka 5 silver, 2 gold just for the Central American ones (not clear that the Chiapas gold really exists, same with Quetzaltenango gold and bronze but that is why I specify in the first posting, silver). If the other issues do exist, the completenset is likely impossible to assemble. But the silver ser with a LOT of patience is doable. There is even a book on these:

Otherwise, Iturbide issue a very large number of proclamation medals included in Grove.

There is even mention of a gold piece from Costa Rica, but nobody has seen one. But silver, only 5.

The story of Iturbide is a very interesting one. One fun fact is that his wife, (at least one) son, grandson, and other members of the imperial family are buried in Center City Philadelphia near City Hall.

How cool is that! I have always wanted to go, but when I am in Philadelphia, I forget.

So @Abuelo you are not only a hookneck specialist, but an Iturbide specialist. What next? I'm still waiting for you to take up patterns!

@pruebas I for sure am a sucker for Iturbide. Have an extensive collection of his proclamation medals yet still missing the large majority. You can visit https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinCustomSetView.aspx?s=14933 where I have almost all the ones i own. Patterns? If there are Iturbide patterns (one in lead i know for 304 I think) maybe one day... the Hookneck patterns apparently are all taken :D
