1893-C Morgan (not a typo)

My US New Year's newp is a 1893-CC Morgan (VAM 4) with one of the Cs of the mint mark filled with schmutz. I've seen this before on this die pair, on a scratched VG. You can still see part of the first C, so perhaps the schmutz was working its way out. Cool, nevertheless, and a nice, wholesome VF, to boot.

Ah ha! Made at the Mint at Carson, Nevada rather than Carson City, Nevada. Nice find - and on a scarce date/mint, too.
That's pretty fun!

I have not heard of that one before. Cool.
I assumed it was the infamous Charlotte Morgan Dollar.....
Thank God you aren't OCD or we'd all have to call the wife and implore her to hide the dremel
...Very nice score!
Great looking circulated Morgan. I would be a proud owner, too.

That is an interesting coin... I like the wear and the mint mark aberration makes it quite unique. Thanks for showing us... Cheers, RickO
Schmutz can be good.

If there is one, there is more.
Maybe someone here has a relative in hand and will share a picture.
Thanks for sharing.
