All this talk about the new Mint Apollo Silver made me remember I had...

I picked these up long ago, when silver was cheap. Digging around in a couple of boxes, I came across them. Anybody ever seen these before?

Did you get these new or later? Remember who issued them? Nice medals.

Later. I have no idea who made them - I bought them at melt in a large lot of miscellaneous silver from my local dealer/ friend.

Very cool piece - I would think that the new mint offering may spur some additional interest in all things Apollo.

Here's one I've had since 2009. The Apollo side is the hemisphere we're familiar with while the Luna III side is the "dark" side of the moon. It also has a tiny piece of the moon imbedded in the coin.

    Never heard of Fujairah....Per wikipedia

"Emirate of Fujairah is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, and the only one of the seven that has a coastline solely on the Gulf of Oman and none on the Persian Gulf. The capital is Fujairah City."

It already carries a pretty good premium over issue but a little more would be nice!

First time I seen the coins. I like the Apollo 15 coin because it has (although at the wrong angle) the U.S.S. Enterprise logo.

Well, close enough to the original for my sake.

Not sure what you mean, but there was a lot going on those years...

I like the two I posted 'cause they're big pucks (8 ounces each IIRC), and I've never seen any of the other 249 :).
