Looks like mechanical doubling, not a doubled die.
Numbers are much thicker than normal dos no look like metal shifting
I do not see it as dd.
Compare it to the images HERE-

You can answer your own inquiry.
I agree, looks like mechanical doubling to me also.

Hi Benito,
See the photo below. This is what a 1972 DDO looks like. Yours looks like mechanical doubling.
Hope it helps for you to see the difference.

There is definitely doubling on the "72". It's clearly mechanical doubling.
However, I suggest you send it in to PCGS to confirm.
Tankyou all
Please take second look at clear photos
It's advice like this that makes new collectors confused when trying to get information on these forums! Why tell someone to spend a bunch of money on a coin that you know will not grade as the OP is wanting?

I agree that the more you can help other collectors the more value your coins are plus . the fun is there too have
In case anyone missed this. There are 10 different DDO's listed here, OP's very well could be #10. It's not valuable but would be fun to have. Some time on that site will give a better understanding of the differences. There was also hub doubling on about 1/2 of the 1972's.
Keep Looking!

Anyone can PM me Any Time about Any thing.
I told him what he has in the first statement. But despite the chorus of people telling him it's not DDO, he seems to insist otherwise. Sometimes, in this business/hobby and others, you need to pay "tuition" to learn.
What is something like that worth?
Because they are not listening to the forum members. More than one way to learn and if they don't learn from us then they need to learn from PCGS.

If the OP would have explained that he knew it was not the BIG DDO and wanted to know if it was die #10 this whole thread would have gone another direction. He didn't.
bob
As mentioned there are 10 different DDO varieties of the 72 DDO and this might be #10. It may also just be machine doubling, cannot say for sure from the pics, if it is the #10 it's not worth very much so not worth getting it graded in this condition.
@Calvinhardiman the coin you asked about is worth $400 +/-

Print this out and save it with your coin books. Good information on DD and not DD.

So, the OP has been told several times that it's machine doubling and he continues to press the issue. If he's that certain and doubts the experts, then let him waste his money and get it graded.
File this under; If you can't stand the answer, don't ask the question.
Cheers
