This is a bit redundant. There is already a well received discussion about favorite coin purchases of 2018 here:

This one is different as it seems to just be for gifts, not coins one purchased.

In that case, I suspect it may be a short thread.

    I didn't receive anything.

A 1914 $20.00 in xf and a beautifully toned (AT) 1899 Indian head cent from a dealer in Vermont. In all fairness I gave him a Vt 150 year sesquintinial 1927 50 cent piece last year.

The fun I've had through the year with my favorite dealers is worth far more than a trinket at the end of the year!

One very pretty Christmas card from a company with whom I do very little business.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Redbooks are a great giveaway. Costs $12 or $15. Put a Merry Christmas from Conundrum Coin sticker on the cover and the happy numismatist has it on his desk for a couple of year.

Precedence I suppose. Have received a number of books, treats, display boxes and a coffee mug or two.

Nice way to say, thanks for the business.

IMHO, the markups/margins are wildly different. Some of the things that I purchase at WalMart are necessities of life, but practically nothing that I purchase from a coin dealer is.
