    2x2 snaps

Stacking vertical or horizontal is easier for me with 2x2 snaps. IMO. Peace Roy

I use 2 X 2 snaps . I think I have every size up to 54 mm for my stock. They are either slabbed or in 2 X 2 snaps. Then I put my into my leather Leuchtturn case. They hold them nicely.

    Depends on budget.

    Prefer the snaps.

Capsules with lighthouse encap pages. Much less bulky to store than 2x2s, easy to display, easy to see the edge, as air-tight as possible and less expensive.

capsules. No worries about staples rusting.

I prefer non-PVC 2x2 flips for more compact storage.

Precisely. You can put a coin in one pocket and an info tag in rhe other pocket. Or two coins, a coin in each pocket. Can also fit 3, 4, 5, even 6 dimes.

Don't forget the DIY slabs that simulate PCGS/NGC holders. A nice step up from a 2X2 snap holder

capsules. No worries about staples rusting.

If you have staples rusting on your 2x2's, you need to address the reason for the rusting.

mr1874 uses three kinds of holders for DIY holdering:

    1. Coin World slab type. Excellent product. 3 for $5.

    2. Saflip 2x2, heat sealed. Accept no substitute for Saflip. Downside is they scratch easily from sliding on each other and other surfaces. Impaired view of one's coin results after a time.

    3. Cardboard 2x2, using staples. Can't recommend that beginners use these because of high danger of coin being staple scratched by careless coin removal technique.

These make a nice alternative, either brand

Just FYI I think the op was referring to the plastic 2x2 snaps and not 2x2 cardboard flips

Really depends on what you end up collecting.

When I was new, I went overboard....I bought the plastic containers for rolls of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and "silver" dollars. I used only a few.

I bought the 2x2 snaps and circular plastic holders. I don't use many of them any longer.

I don't have a lot of coins worth more than face that aren't in folders, 2x2 cardboard holders (staples flattened so to lessen scratching potential), or in slabs (I would rather self-slab than use the 2x2 or circular plastic ones).

So, use what you like, but maybe start slow to see if you like what you get before getting too many.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    2x2 snaps

I picked the 2x2, but have used both....which should have been a choice. I find it depends on the coin.... quantity, rarity, condition etc.. Cheers, RickO
