Please post a 1956 coin or anything to honor my Dad ....... surrendering to dreaded lung cancer
He will check in to the other side any day now and I am at peace with that

Going through the same thing with my grandpa right now so I feel your pain. We are all at peace and he is ready to go. Prayers sent your way @Paradisefound

No 1956 but this in honor of your dad.
Sorry for your loss, PF.

I don’t have any coins to post because I am not at home, but my heart goes out to you. Cancer is never easy. I hope you and your family find peace ♥️ Love from California, Paradise

Sorry to hear , but now it makes me feel REALLY old.
In 1956 I got my first driver's license. Actually had a learner's permit 6 mos. earlier and managed to get a ticket on the same day.

Gosh - I know what you're going through since my parents died awfully. Cherish that you are his legacy and know he is so very proud of what you've become. My best to you through this trying time in your life.
I'm sorry to hear about your father - there are many, many people here who are thinking of your family right now.

Oh, @Paradisefound, so good to have you back! I lost my dad less than 2 weeks ago - also to cancer. He was born in 1948, but it doesn’t really matter - you’re never ready. The two of us were fast friends & we did EVERYTHING together. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.
Enjoy him as much as you can. I wish for you a lifetime of the best memories. You’re in our thoughts.
I'm so sorry to read this. I am glad to see you posting again.

Best wishes to you and your family. I hope that the MDs will give him the meds that will keep your Dad comfortable. 1956 is not old!
These times are the most difficult but he will always and forever reside in your heart, I am sending prayers your way

Don't have anything to post, but please accept my condolences. 62 is way too young. Lost my Mom in January but she was 98.
Best wishes to you and your dad.

Prayers are with you @Paradisefound you were so good to my Mom who passed age 100 three weeks ago, I was blessed to have her for such a very long time. I wish your Dad a peaceful and pain-free transition to infinite bliss.
Many kind regards,
George
So happy to have you back , so sad about the news.
This sort of news is always too soon, but your father will obviously be remembered fondly by his family, and we can all thank him for what he is leaving behind. Legacies live on...
My heart is heavy for you and keeping you and your family close with prayers! Really sorry. Glen
I lost my dad when he was 53. My payers are with you and your family.
Welcome Back
I am very sorry to hear about your Dad. You posted some very kind words on my tribute to my Dad, and I'd like to return the warm and comforting words to you. Our parents are very special to us children, and for us daughters, our Dad's are our heroes. I know our love and memories keep our loved ones in our hearts forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Much ALOHA back at you dear friend.
This is one of the most special coins in my personal collection, and I post it in honor of your very special Dad.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. A heart-wrenching time for sure. My folks are long gone but their memories are part of my soul. Don't have any '56 coins but I'll share one of my favorite ladies -- I recall seeing somewhere you like her too!
My prayers to you and your family.
Don't have a 1956 coin but in 1956 you could ride to the coin shop in your new Caddy....
I lost my Mom to that dreaded disease.
What a tough time this must be for you.

My heart goes out to you! I lost my father on Christmas Eve last year, and I know how that feels. Raising the wonderful daughter in you, he was obviously an incredible dad. While your father will move on in eternity, he will be with you in your heart always and also with all of the people whose lives he touched!
Welcome back to you too @Coinstartled .

My sympathies and condolences to you on the loss of your father. Not a fun thing to lose one's parents. 62 years of age is way to young of an age for someone to pass away. I can say this with credibility because 1956 is my birth year and I can not imagine not being around for another 20+ years.
My deepest sympathies on your Father's passing.
So glad to see you back PF....you are the bright star of our forum. So sorry to hear about your father. Remember the good times. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Hi Paradisefound; great to hear from you, and sorry to hear about your loss. St Gaudens for me is something of a patron saint of numismatics.
I know this isn’t a coin, but for some reason this came into bloom off-season. I guess Mother Nature had stored this up, just to present it for you, to let you know how special you are!! 😇
