Pretty self-explanatory. I'm fanatical about Barber coins. Was addicted to the halves for about 15 years... now quarters are my thing.

My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

...had to pick something to get in to ask my first question, so just something I thought I could remember. I spent more time choosing/creating my avatar.

My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.

Mine shouldn't take much imagination to figure out. And for the record, I had to reach over a stack of coins in flips to type this, and proceeded to knock the stack over.

Fairly easy to figure out. I collect Confederate States of America notes/currency-csanotes. I collect plenty of other stuff, but started with Confederate currency in my early teens.

    I collect submachine guns also.
If you want to hit something, you just turn it on and "walk it over" to the target.

  • Circumstances had me break open a coin collection started for me by my Aunt over 50 years ago. These books have not seen the light of day in over 40 years. The Mercury Dimes are a magnificent array of colors (toned), which made me think of the song by Merle Haggard - Rainbow Stew!

I went through a divorce (at the turn of the century) . Got full custody of two girls. Then, after a 25 year haitus from coins, I went on eBay one night .... I needed to have an eBay handle. And my kids had their points and I had mine.
Since that time , many have educated me that there are more than two sides ....duh. No kidding.
So if you ever hear me say ..." you're a real coin", you might have put me on edge.

Started using it in the last millennium when the net was just getting started. I used to play basketball in an “old men’s 3 step” rec league and was 37 when I started using it. I was a hack and when the body started to fall apart, and the kid started beating me (his pic in the avatar), I hung it up. But the handle stayed.
