I actually thought it was going to look a lot more 'laughable'.

That said, the current 9 bids shows there's a few trusting souls out there.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Seems like a legit dealer -- could it be just bad pics? Perhaps over photo-processing?

Parts of the coin looks ok ~~

No, the coin is 100% fake, for sure. I am surprised a legit dealer would be fooled by it.

Look at the stars, and compare to a real coin. Real coins have a raised star inside.

You guys are better than me I could not tell a fake from a real one! That's why I don't buy them only from someone who is trustworthy like some of you all here!

Somewhere on a PCGS page is the story of a poor soul who submitted a complete set of raw $2.50 Indians. Every one of them turned out to be fake.

I feel pretty confident with them as to authenticity, and yet I still won't buy them raw.

I have no issues buying raw. Buy them all the time off ebay. MOST of the time I can spot a fake with ebay pics. A few have sneaked by me based on the pics, and I discover them to be fake when I get them in hand.

Counterfeit Indian 2 1/2 and 5s always look really odd to me when they have a rim, just does not go with the design.

This is a dumb question but did you send them back for a refund and if so I am guessing no problems.

Yes, always sent back. And most of the time no problem. A few sellers of course don't believe you, so I would have to file a claim.
