What is the difference between LIKE and AGREE?

abcde12345abcde12345 Posts: 3,404 ✭✭✭✭✭

At times I will either like or agree with a post. I don't really get the distinction between the LIKE and AGREE though.
How do you handle this dilemna?

Like is a thumbs up and agree is a smiley face

Under my analogy above, there should also be a "dislike" button.

We definitely need one. The disagree button has been hit so many times, it's probably all busted.

I kinda look at the like as a thank you button. Or, I might like a coin someone is showing . Stufflike that
The agree button is pretty much self explanatory, I think. I use it when I agree.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

I think a lot of people around here tend to agree to disagree and that's like an opinion and everyone has an opinion and you know the rest...

Both give "warm fuzzier" to those who need them.

If someone posts positives in my threads, I'll give them likes without asking to donate to the tip jar!

I really think they need to add a "Meh" option around here.

I could agree with something I did not like.... or like something I did not agree with.... Wait, is it the other way around?? I am confused.... :D:D Cheers, RickO

I look at it this way:

-Someone posts a new coin they bought. "Agree" does not make sense but "like" does.

-Someone asks, do you think this coin is MS66, "agree" makes sense, "like", not so much.

Exactly@@ Your post I agree with and like too!!!!!!

Agree is feeling the same, which may be positive or negative.

    Like is applause, so positive.
