When I was working we were going up Haleakala to work on the EMS radio system. On the way down we came across a tourist vehicle pulled to the side of the winding road. We put on our hazard lights and asked if the needed help. Two ladies in the car said "We had a blow-out" and sure enough the right rear tire was flat (only on the bottom ) We broke out our jack and got the tire change for these stranded tourists. They were very appreciative and we continued down the mountain with smiles on our faces.
No idea what coin that is
FYI: my likes are not to indicate whether I agreed with your guess
You need to do your homework to be in the bucket on this first part of the contest

I had to copy my answers from the other thread....
1) Daniel Carr 1933 St. Gaudens token
2) My good deed: last week I thought about pushing a little old lady into the street just for fun, but then I decided not to do it. Does that count?
Or, last week in the parking lot at the supermarket there was a shopping cart next to where I parked and there was a 12 pack of soda on the bottom rack that someone had left there by accident. What do, what to do... Do I just toss it in my car? Or do I take it into the store and leave it at the customer service desk in case the owner comes back for it?
I did the right thing. (In case anyone does not know what the right thing is, I took it into the store. )
I'm going up to Jefferson Co. WV, Historical Society Museum on the 22nd to donate several civil war, and pre-civil war letters written by Col. Braxton Davenport and his family. I also have the original documents for the sale of Altona Farm in 1906 by Henry Davenport's wife.
The coin...? How 'bout a Seated Half?
Someone cut me off in traffic and I did not flip them off.
Coin 1992 Columbus $5 Commem.
I like Smudge's post, sounds like my day.
Okay:
I did not trip my mother-in-law while she was walking with her walker, even tho she was being mean to my wife, her daughter.
I figured, she is always mean, and I can't do it each and every time, we would spend too much time waiting for the ambulances.
Guess: US silver eagle

I interrupted a purchase at a hardware store to give someone a few "hard dollars" (her term -- she meant singles) for a handful of change she had.
The prize coin is an 1836 Gobrecht dollar with starred reverse! You're awesome, PF!

I normally take the other path when that happens to me,,,,,, does this qualify me?
I saw someone lose 20$ and I returned it I think that coin will be a 1883 5$ Half eagle
This is the truth I was on my way to the long beach show took me 2hr to get there and I was on my way in when I walked by a shopping cart and next to it was a young guy and a young girl sleeping next to it I stopped and woke the young girl and told her here I was going to buy a coin with this but you need it more then I need any coin I would find in there then I turned and went back home. I never told any one till today about this not even my wife, Don't ask how much. I hope it changed there life's.
I think this is a pic $20 saint. Thanks for the chance if I do win please give it to a Young Numismatists.
Hoard the keys.
This is my good deed story.....
I took my Mom to a local noodle place yesterday and overheard unpleasant interaction next to us.
A couple Japanese ladies (mid 80's) told the waitress had they known the size of the fried rice they would've share one order; showing no empathy the waitress suggested a doggie bag.
This is popular local spot with similar orders back to back to back ..... older ladies probably on fixed income; so quietly I paid theirs on the way out. A little gesture create a long lasting warmth in people hearts
I volunteer at a recovery hotline, manning the phone twice a week 12-4. Sometimes the phone does not ring.

I also bought lunch recently for someone who was not expecting it but deserving.
It was for a local highway worker in my town deli. We had bad storm damage and these guys worked really hard for several weeks to get our roads opened and cleaned up. When it was time for him to pay for his lunch, I stepped up and paid. He was pretty shocked but really appreciative. These guys don't get the recognition that the police and fire dept. get but they keep things running smoothly in our society.
The coin is a 1/10 ounce gold eagle. That looks like an out of focus star on the obv.
Maybe a ..."hint?"
Speaking of good deed, this is my most recent one. While driving on the highway, I saw light smoke less than a mile ahead. I told my wife that I recognized the smoke pattern and its dark color, someone's car would be on fire soon because it happened to me many years ago.
As we drove by, I decided to slow down and parked in a safe distance just to check if anyone needed help . Then I saw an old man slowly preparing a wheel chair out of mini van. I immediately told me wife to call 911 while I ran toward the smoke and left my wife and kids in a safe distance.
Once I reached the van, the smoke got darker and more intense . I knew the car would be on fire very soon. Without any second thought, I screamed out of my lungs " Stay away from the car" while reaching inside the vehicle and grabbed the old lady out.
But the old man was too stubborn and insisted that his wife couldn't travel without wheelchair. So I yelled out that "Lives are more important, please follow me" while I picked up his wife and carried her to a safe distance. However 10 seconds later , he decided to turn back and said that he left his cellar phone on the dashboard. So I had to block him while holding his wife in between us. And soon after, the front of van burst into flames.

2 banged up = 1 free dresser ?
I went wandering in the woods off the #3 tee box to find my golf ball, and came out with 3 golf balls and 4 old beer cans. I threw the beer cans away (but then I lost the three golf balls before we got to the #8 tee box).
Coin guess: 1901 $5 Liberty

A couple weeks ago I noticed an older gentleman who had fallen trying to go into a locksmith. I pulled the car over to help him get back up and get inside. He was pretty banged up from his fall unfortunately. I'll guess a 1906 $2 1/2.

My good deed to all the strangers here is to not enter this contest affording all of them a better chance to win the prize.
I can not take the credit of saving lives but to prevent serious injuries at most. Unlike those Hollywood movies, cars do not explode when engine set on fire. However, by the time someone put out the fire, the whole engine would melted down to the ground.
From my own experience and heard from the firefighters long ago, it was due to a loose fuel pipe after car repair. I had also confirmed this with the old man while we waited for fire truck to come. He too , had a car repaired a couple days ago before the incident.
Anyhow, after the fire truck came, I decided to leave the scene and got back to my car to comfort and apologize to my wife. She understood with a simple response that it was a part of me that she loves since we started to date 20 years ago. She also reminded me to contact my friend who worked at the car service near by to give this old couple a free ride.
Then she moved on to the stories where we were driving around the park in the middle of night decades ago. I saw a really nice bike laid on the side of the road. My first instinct was to ask her to lock the car door while I went out to search and make sure the owner of the bike was safe. And the time an old lady who didn't speak any English, took the wrong subway train and asked for direction. Instead of showing her where she needed to go, we decided to take two extra hours ride and did a few transfers with her to the station that someone wrote on her paper.
So why did I decide to post all these stories? Yesterday was my wife's birthday. Her support had made me a better man!
Does the good deed have to be one done by us or can we be the recipient? I still recall in the days after 9-11 coming out of a movie theatre only to find I had a flat tire. I couldn't believe all the people who rushed over to offer their help.
If it has to be a good deed done by me, on Father's Day a year ago my wife and I were visiting in Japan where by chance we ran into someone we had not seen since 1968, a time when all three of us were living Japan. We learned that all of his photos from when he had lived in Japan some 49 years prior had been destroyed in an Idaho flood. As it turned out both my wife and I still had photos of him living in Japan which we were able to email to his family after we returned stateside.
Ironically, among the photos, each of us had one of him transferring out and departing on the train from the respective cities where we had independently known him - even though my wife and I did not know each other at the time. The photo I took was in Kanazawa and the one she had was in Kochi, some 300 miles distant.
OK, my guess as to the coin - 1854 $1 gold.
Recently I was at the hospital in the oncology center getting a check-up. Sitting next to me was what appeared to be a 70's woman with a 40's woman. They both were very nervous looking. I pondered whether to strike up a conversation. After thinking back when I was sick and how talking to other cancer patients helped me to get over my fears I introduced myself to these ladies. At first only the older woman wanted to talk. I shared my story and the young woman began to tear up. I was feeling like I should have not talked to them when to my surprise the young woman took my hand into hers and began to tell me about her cancer. Tears quickly filled my eyes as we talked. She was going into her first Chemo treatment and was extremely scared and upset. We talked until I got called to see the doctor. After my doctors visit I asked if I could check on the woman as she was receiving her treatment and the nurses brought me back to the room she was in. I sat next to her for the next half hour just talking and when she was finished with her treatment we gave each other a hug and we walked down to the garage the three of us. I don't even know her name but I received the same comfort from her just sharing our stories. I went home and decided I would share this moment with all of you. Kindness is how we heal!

I was visiting a friend in the hospital a few years ago. After the visit, I was walking down the hall and saw an older man in a room waving his hand.. I stopped and asked if he needed something... He was very weak, but asked for some water. I helped him to drink from the water glass. He thanked me and took my hand, holding it, not tight, but I knew he wanted me to stay. I sat beside him, holding his hand, and he passed away. RickO
That is a touching account. Hope you don't mind my adding a memory that it prompted. I was visiting with my uncle who for most of his life would never speak about his war experiences. In his later years that changed and among those experiences he related that as he and his comrades were among the first soldiers to liberate the German Concentration Camp at Buchenwald they would go up to the remaining survivors offering them sips of water from their canteens. They were so emaciated that they could not eat or even drink anything in quantity.
1. I work next to the county jail. One afternoon a younger fellow came out of the jail, confused, and asked me how he could get home. He had been picked up by police about 20 miles away. I happened to have a bus pass, so gave him that and directions to the bus station a few blocks away.
