Not a fan of either, nice but just nice. I prefer the 65+ imaged on coin facts.
Interesting, it looks like the new PCGS plate coin was an NGC 65RD that Stacks sold at Baltimore in June of this year, not sure about the other 66 RD though.

They are nice coins, and the first one has beautiful color, but there are too many small marks for the grade IMO.
The pop report shows 3 in MS66RD, but two are recent.
Here are the 3 cert numbers if you want to look them up
7298830
36058206
36175725
This cert, 36103783, is imaged on CoinFacts, but is no longer valid.
All coins Rule - no reconsideration, this coin was graded about 30 years ago and no one has ever seen it.
Who has this coin now?
Here's the TrueView for one. Couldn't find them for the others.
That's old news! Four hours later, at 12:52pm, there are now three examples

I still contend there is stuff out there we may never see in our lifetime ... hidden away . But eye appeal is evident in high grades. And obviously rare.
Zoins- the coin you posted, the plate coin on CoinFacts and the other coin no one has ever seen.
I personally like rare coins with good photos / TrueViews so everyone can view them but I understand and respect that some people like keeping their coins private. I recall you mentioning you don't like having your coins photographed as well.
More will appear - that is the nature of grade inflation.
Didn't really high end MS65 RD sell recently?
I see this upgraded from a 65RD, as there are still two true views of this coin at that grade.
Great eagle eye!
Here they are:
And the TrueViews with the 66 at the bottom for comparison:
Sorry, wrong thread.
So if I understand this all 3 certificates are of the exact same coin with the choppiness left of the date and mark on the neck.
Population report should show only one if it was correct and the two prior certificates removed. However, it seems over-graded to me now considering those obverse marks.
Edited to say the reverse is really nice. Didn't they used to have grades like 65/67 for obverse/reverse? Why did that stop?

Interesting... report says three, but all three seem to be the same coin. Cheers, RickO
That coin was undergraded at 65 IMHO
Regardless, it's just beautiful!!
It may have also had another owner or three in the past 151 years. But maybe no one important right? Neat coins, has always been a nice semi key date, of course mine is a VG with some history in commerce.

Nice looking coins!

Look at the craters at 7:00! I much prefer my 65+, and another 65 I have. These two 66's are bait for a big fish.
