Now back in from grading and imaging and ready to share. Both were in NGC holders and both cross and upgraded on the first try.

    Exactly! The surfaces are pristine with just great color and no lines.

    I’m seeing a number of posts reporting crossovers that resulted in upgrades. Does this signal a less conservative grading on the part of PCGS to win over the many world coins that have been submitted to NGC?

    I don’t think so .....

    My experience has not been uogrades it crossovers nonetheless except on a few occasions.

    Sometimes DNC.

    Nice! Yours looks like a mate to mine ( nearly medallic strike, pristine original silvery surfaces) except a mine has planchet crack on neck and one old lt sc on rt llama ( I never knew the llamas were engraved with eyes until I got this coin). Also pop 1/0 both services.
