As the $3 gold is the next and last coin needed for my gold set, I want to see the other members $3 coins.
It'll likely be a while before I get mine, but I want some inspiration! Let's see them!
(I'm aiming for AU58)

Thank you!

Very nice examples so far!

1854-P - This is a minor type because the word "DOLLARS" in is smaller letters. In all of the subsequent years it is larger.
PCGS MS-63
1854-D. This is a "dream coin" that I admired for a long time. The mintage is only 1,120 pieces, but the coin has fairly high survival rate for a 19th century piece. There are 200 to 300 survivors with some problem coins included in that total. PCGS AU-55, CAC
1854-O This is not an overly rare coin, but the strike is usually light. This one has better than average eye appeal for the issue. PCGS AU-50 with a "retro green" anniversary label.
@BillJones
WOW is all I can say
@asheland, that hole is empty in my set also, along with the $5 Indian for some strange reason.
Happy hunting and make sure you post pictures here when you finally find one.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
The image of Liberty is wearing a traditional Native American Indian Headdress, a tiara made of feathers and horn.
it's even more beautiful Thank you
Splendid examples @BillJones !

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Here's one in your target grade, kinda toned, kinda PL. You either like it or you don't! ;-)
I love the San Francisco pieces in any condition.

Nice pickup @asheland — mine is a grade below yours at AU53, but it comes with a green bean. Not a TrueView and the photo is a bit too bright.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I like that one! I want a 54 for the smaller "dollars" reverse. Nice example.
