If you were going to display your collection where would that be?

There are so many nice collections out there where should one consider putting it on display?
I am not talking about hoards of coins but nice collections!

Too many security issues for me. I’m happy to display photos though.
I asked my local coin shop about displaying complete sets of coins, personal collections, and he gave me a resounding NO. Too many security issues was the #1 problem.

The safe.
Registery only.
They sleep in the SDB.
It just doesn't seem right that, as collector's we can't share collections to help the hobby.
It is a sad day that security over rides the pride and joy of completing and showing that to the public!

To me looking at photos just isn't the same as seeing the coin in person,
Nowadays someone with photo editing can make an image look much better in hand.
They're called shady eBay sellers!
Later, Paul.
There is an other thread about dealer sites with photos that don't show the coin as it appears in hand
Long Beach since I’m semi local

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
WalMart parking lot?
Mine could be on TV! On one of those hoarding shows.
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
Rent a table or 1/2 a table at a show. Find a nice old-school wood coin case and line it with a nice velvet. Display those bad boys with a nice “NFS” sign attached. At least that’s what I want to do.
I like your idea
I was also thinking that some club tables could display members coins.
That way instead of just sitting around they would have something to talk about. such as the history of the collections on display.
Mine are in Eagle brand slab pages-makes for a decent display. They are in a totally secure location and they are insured.

I display my collections in the safety deposit boxes !!!
I used to bring an extra case down to our local show and display some of my higher end pieces for show.
2 problems , ist several wanted to look and hold them, but I had to politely decline due to having to open the case they were in and keep up with regular show business. But more importantly , a couple of dealer friends of mine starting telling me what if somebody came in and held up the show at gunpoint. I could have potentially lost a lot in that instance.
security at our local show is minimal, you take a group of 3 with automatic weapons barge in unexpected, it would be a disaster.
FUN since I am semi local
I have never had the urge to display my coins. There were times that people would ask about certain coins (in general) and I would bring an example to show them. My coin collection is a private pleasure. Cheers, RickO
I don't have any top 10 sets so nothing that special. I never felt the need to display my coins so I've never really thought about it.
