Recently learned of the registry set made specifically for the 2-feather buffalo nickel variety. This seems like a great set!

Show me a 2 feather buff!
Extra credit: Can you think of any other official registry sets based on a variety?

I did not realize there was a registry set for Two Feathers.... Thanks, I will check it out. Cheers, RickO
Nor did I, thanks for the link. Learned something new here already today.
I once owned a 1916 2 feather Buffalo.
Sold it at the last FUN show graded by pcgs MS64
Some of the two feather dates are very hard to find, the 1915-D, 1916-S, and 1923 are examples. A complete set in high grade would be a real challenge and a few may be unknown in Mint state. It's important to differentiate between the "true" 2
feather coins, which make up 17 of the 27 two feather varieties that are recognized by PCGS, and those with a small portion of the feather remaining, which comprise the other ten.
Here's a list of the "true" two feather dates, of which there are 20, not 17-
And a list of the 2+ feather varieties where the third feather is not completely effaced, of which there are 11, not 10.
for a total of 31, not 27. I had forgotten of the four newly listed dates.
I have a well circulated 1920-S picked up in circulation in the early 60's as a YN.

Very few people were paying any heed to this variety in the '60s. There were a few letters in Numismatic Scrapbook magazine concerning them and, of course, Spadone was an early pioneer in listing them.
Raw for the moment.

and some of the graded ones. All were purchased unattributed. The 13-D and 21-P got a numerical bump to boot when resubmitted raw:

That's one helluva group you have there!
