Ebay now offering precious metals buyback program
Not sure if this has been posted before... maybe I am behind times. If so, sorry about that.
Just happened to take a look at a one of the routine emails from ebay... and they are introducing a precious metals buyback program. If you have some you want to sell, looks like you take a picture of what you have, post it in appropriate area, and participating dealers on ebay will make the offer to you. I have not checked further, but looks like it may be in effect now. So not sure of fees involved, or if offers will be low ball, etc... but sounds worth checking out more. I'm sure it will be involving Apmex, etc.
Have any of you tried this yet? Or, if you do give it a try... any info you can provide us on your experience will be appreciated!

Here is the ebay info page:

Most of us would rather sell directly to Apmex. Going through Ebay it looks as if you have to pay the basic sellers fee to use the program.
Yeah, that's what it is looking like as I check more. Looks like they are charging the normal 'final value' fees... which can add up alot.
After Apmex lowballs it, then eBay fees, you would likely take a beating.
Surprising they dont buy scrap from the public through this option though, at least not yet. I would think that would be much more profitable than bullion. It can create many more headaches though.
no thanks, I'll sell it here, craigslist, and other routes that are free of fees!
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
buy Back ? Now is the time to buy.

Rinse or fleece?
Buy cycle... which is why many will sell.... Always amazes me... Cheers, RickO
Kind of my thoughts also.
