I got in trouble for taking this photo. It turns out there's a sign about 12 feet tall as you enter the Sistine Chapel that says "NO PHOTOS!"
I don't know who on earth would be looking at the sign when the ceiling looks like this:
You should have been looking at the fresco behind the main altar, high up:
You might get in BIG trouble for taking that photo.

As the saga of another Princess continues to catapult in the. news, here are some photos I previously took of the Cruise Ship Diamond Princess quarantined off of the Port of Yokohama in Japan. At over 170 cases there have. been more Coronavirus infected persons on this one ship than in any single country in the world excluding Mainland China.
In the first photo The Diamond Princess Is seen leaving the Yokohama Port dock.
In the second photo it receives a cascading water send off from the Yokohama Port Fireboat.
In the third photo it passes under the Yokohama Bay Bridge, which despite the name actually crosses Tokyo Bay.
(Having been on the upper deck of the Diamond Princess on multiple occasions as it has passed under the Yokohama Bay Bridge, I can attest that the clearance is so slight that one almost expects the ship to hit the bridge.
An interesting fact is that the 205 foot high cruise ship itself is about 25 feet taller than the available 180 feet of maximum vertical clearance under the bridge! (Fortunately part of the ship is below sea level as it passes under The Yokohama Bay Bridge.)
Added photos from my past voyages on the Diamond Princess cruise ship which presently remains quarantined off Yokohama in Japan.
And here is a news photo from last week which poignantly humanizes the plight of the thousands trapped on the ship. It captures family members attempting to communicate with other family quarantined aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship as it is temporarily moored at the Yokohama dock.
