Today (Friday from where I am posting) I learned that several of my photos entered into an annual Photo competition had been selected for exhibition among which one was awarded first place and another merited an honorable mention. I’ll make an effort to come back to edit to add the photos.
From a couple weeks back in front yard. At some point in the Spring a flock of birds will appear and eat every piece of fruit they can find. The 2nd photo was from last year when they arrived. It was cloudy that day so not the best light.

Cedar Waxwings -- those little apples will actually ferment and the poor birds can become "intoxicated. I have seen them fly in to windows and become totally disoriented. Nice pictures.
It’s been a dry winter here in California. But we did have some scattered showers today that gave way to a pretty intense rainbow over my neighborhood.
