Taken this evening (Friday eve) by my daughter as she was checking out the nearby sand dunes. When she turned around the moose was just yards distant. After slowly edging away she took the photo.
Here’s a few pictures of my summer fun in Florida last week. A very rare dollar I picked up while in the water at the beach.
A very choice dollar and rare to find intact

My rocks are in. Sadly getting rocks in my house is the closest thing Ive done to doing something outdoors in almost a year since I went to Bushkill falls on shrooms last fall.

A nice big Isurus hastalis tooth (extinct giant Mako shark and distant forebear of the Great White), just as it was found.
As yet untouched after millions of years, in the first photo.
Location Please...at least the state. Thanks.
The boondocks of Glynn County, Georgia, west of Brunswick. Rural dirt roads in the area are surfaced with dredge spoil sand from the bottom of Saint Simons Sound. It's full of fossils, and fun to hunt, since you can just walk along on dry land, with no special equipment needed, aside from a sharp eye.
Note all the black specks in the sand in my photos above. Much of that is fossilized material; most of it whale bone. (These big sharks preyed on whales and marine mammals.)
We occasionally find the big Megalodons, too.
Here's one my buddy found. Obviously that's not your typical find, but they're out there.
Any of y'all wanna come visit and find some fossils, look me up, if you're in the area, and I can take you to these sites.

We bought a late 1800's half plate camera today at work. The owner gave us some glass negatives he had that were shot in it.
