Twenty-Five years after the 1974 discovery of the Terracotta Warriors that had remained hidden since two centuries BC, Terracotta Acrobats were found near Emperor Qin’s (China’s first Emperor) tomb.
Buried to provide entertainment to the Emperor in the after life, real-life acrobats have ironically continuously lived on to provide entertainment through the millenia.
In this below video watch as members of the Sichuan Acrobat Troupe perform at Beijing’s Chaoyang (Red) Theatre. Trained from as young as six-years of age their physical stamina, balance, and agility combined with body bending contortions result in an exquisite performing art.
In this below video members of Beijing China’s Sichuan Acrobatic Troupe entertain at the Chaoyang Theatre in Beijing.
First four Chinese girl acrobats coordinate in together skipping on a single jump rope only to then be followed by two male acrobats jumping while performing head stands.
Finally impressive acrobatic maneuvers are seen performed within the swinging rope while it continues to swing.
A Beijing Acrobat Show at the famed Chaoyang Theatre includes four skilled motorcyclists spinning together simultaneously inside an onstage Motorbike Globe.
Watch the below video as these riding acrobatic performers entertain.
In this video the fourth motorbike makes its entry to complete the spectacle.
Then watch as all four dodge each other and their headlights spectacularly illuminate the translucent globe.
As noted above, the tradition of acrobats as entertainers in China extends all the way back to 200 BC as learned from the discovered Terracotta clay acrobats that were concurrently buried with the Terracotta Warriors. Pictured below are photos I took of the Terracotta Warriors followed by descriptions of the more recently discovered Terracotta Acrobats:

Here in Alaska for the Arctic Thunder Air Show, below, watch 4 Thunderbird pilots fly their jets vertically in unison. They then branch out to create an exploding aerial.
Then see one of the branches form a half heart and the camera zooms in on the descending aircraft for a closer view.
Below, this panorama video begins with the arrival of an Alaska Railroad train that transitions to a 180 degree view of Cook Inlet to include the Port of Anchorage, Anchorage’s Small Boat Harbor, Mounts Denali, Foraker, and Susitna.
It then pans to the ice-covered volcanoes of the Alaska Range including the multi-erupting Mount Spur before panning back for a closing view of Mount Susitna, Foraker and Denali as the ice-capped tops of Foraker and Denali peer over the distant tree filled hills.
First, Denali (on the right) and Mount Foraker (left) are seen as their snow caps peer over the treed horizon with an Air Force transport plane overhead:
