That’s actually a really cool picture!
Is that a view from your house?
That’s a cool view! 😎
Always have my camera ready as I take wildlife pics daily and this couple with their dog on the bow came by. Ended up looking just like a Rockwell painting

On the North West Shore of The Summer Palace’s Lake Kunming stands a monument to the twilight years of China’s Imperial Rule that extended over two millennia.
Empress Dowager Cixi in her waning years of Imperial rule had funds that were earmarked for the Imperial Navy diverted to build a grand Marble Boat pavilion on the Northwest shore of the Summer Palace which would restore one that had been burned by the British in a past era of China’s humiliation.
The original was built in 1855 by the then Qing Emperor and it along with multiple other structures in the Summer Palace were burned within a decade in retaliation for China’s actions kidnapping, torturing and killing a foreign delegation the Second Opium War.
In its glory days the Summer Palace with its expansive gardens, lake, and long corridors served as a residence for the Emperor and his family during the hot summer months had begun being built in 1767 just prior to the birth of The United States. When completed it stood on land four times larger than the Forbidden City from where the Emperor ruled during the rest of the year.
The rebuilt boat pavilion’s wooden upper structure was painted to look like marble. Both it and the original had and have a stone base.
In this below video you can see both the elegance of the multi-story Marble Boat pavilion as well as its setting on the lake where actual sailing boats can be observed.
Below - While aboard a boat crossing Kunming Lake at the Emperor’s Summer Palace outside of Beijing China, one is afforded a spectacular view of the Seventeen-Arch Bridge.
The stone bridge with its 544 distinct lions affixed to white marble columns is one of the original structures that survived the Summer Palace’s burning by the British in the Second Opium War circa 1860.
The bridge which extends 164 yards connecting the East shore of the lake to Nanhu Island was erected by the then Emperor Qianlong during his reign from 1711 to1799.
See if you agree as it has been poetically described as, “A Rainbow Arching Across the Lake.”

Too cool. I recall seeing a phonograph record player in a convertible in Branson at the '57 Heaven [Ca]r Museum that used to be there. If I remember correctly the car had belonged to Sammy Davis Jr.
