Look closely.
Maybe a little, but the lioness was pretty darn close to the zebras. I was quite surprised by their relatively calm demeanor. I think they could tell she wasn’t in hunting mode and the healthy ones don’t have that much to worry about anyhow. Also, the animals are forced to the waterholes in the dry season of necessity, which results in lots of critters being in close proximity and wonderful wildlife viewing opportunities.
Not a coin but a recent acquisition I'm happy to display in my coin bunker.......
First some context
..
I visited the reconstructed Roman fort at Saalburg Germany a few years ago.
Very interesting....
They have a museum display there with artifacts from the original Roman occupation..
A shoe (one of many) recovered down a well.....
A few artifacts on display; arrowheads, coins...a fibula or safety pin type device for fastening garments.
And here's my new addition; a functioning fibula I picked up at a local show recently. Those ancient springs are indeed intact.

I feel like the forum needs some positivity today, Butter celebrated her 1st Birthday last weekend!
That's 7 human years...
What did she get? I bet she would like some mac & cheese or some peanut butter.....
She got to spend the day with her friends at daycare where they made her a card that was signed by the entire staff (my heart!) then we celebrated with new toys from myself and some friends who sent gifts along with lots and lots of treats and cuddles.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I love all dogs BUT I like cats that behave like dogs much better - they play catch, fetch, chase, cuddle and don't need walks in bad weather!
Yes they are
