I remember seeing a picture of this car mod something like 30-40 years ago and the article about the guy that performed the work. He may have been an aeronautical engineer. Not sure. But I have always liked gauges, switches and buttons of the older fleet. I would love to have all of that in a car.
In 1950, 11 masked and armed burglars stole over $1.2 million in cash, as well as $1.5 million in checks and money orders, from the 165th Prince Street Bank. Several mainstream media outlets during that time, dubbed this heist the “crime of the century,” and as subsequent investigations unfolded, it was revealed that Boston underworld criminals, Joseph McGinness and Joseph O’Keefe, had orchestrated the entire operation. Eventually, all 11 accomplices were arrested and convicted for their high-profile criminal involvement.

For this week's Friday - photos from Friday.
From the river's mouth to ours.
FWIW, we spent the first three hours without catching a single fish.
By that point in time the strong currents had taken their toll, I had stepped into a hole and fell into the ocean water and my companion had been drenched by the wave from a passing commercial fishing boat. We were ready to call it a day and head home but decided to stick around long enough to at least get one fish.
Then, twenty later, and within an hour after high tide (just after slack tide) the fish showed up and we were able to completely fill the cooler with as many Sockeye (Red) Salmon as we wanted in an hours time.
(It was notable how we went from cold, wet and miserable to completely exhilarated with the expended physical effort required to bring in our catch warmed us up.)

This Friday is especially nice seeing that I’m on vacation next week! I have some projects to do next week but tonight I am going to unwind on the deck with a bourbon in the company of my Uptown girl.
Those are called "Long Legged Flies" - very beautiful metallic colors. Adult flies are predaceous (eat) on small mites , Aphids and flea hoppers, booklice, thrips, flies, silverfish, - They are not like those garbage flies. They are great for the health of a garden.

Always heard you can eat those but never had enough balls to try to cut into one - LOL!.
Make sure you take the skin off ... it's tough when cooked.
I make it exactly like eggplant parmesan only substituting the eggplant with thick slices of the puffball. It's Gourmet.

Great - plus I love eggplant - grow it in the garden. Used to bread it then fry in oil. But got an air fryer and now just brush each side with Olive Oil then season with Italian seasoning - 25 minutes one side, flip, 20 more mins, wonderful! Here's 2 I picked yesterday - can't wait to prepare them.

Our ECM shop had one for flightline use. A shop truck. Had a 6 cylinder in it, but it was powerful. Drove it for 3 years in Germany at Hahn AB. Not it, but looked like this, without the spoke type wheels. lol
