First your should post photos of both sides. While the reverse can “come along for the ride,” it is important to know if it is damaged, or if it might turn out to be a rare die variety, which can happen with coins from this era. I don’t collect these half dimes by die variety, and don’t have the book handy at the moment.
Having said that, this piece has a lot of marks on the face, which would make it a “no grade” if you sent it in for grading. As such, it does not have great value, unless it turns out to be a much better variety. From what I see, it has a lot of design detail (EF - AU sharpness) but it is damaged. Therefore it probably does not have enough value to justify the grading fee and postage, which is no insignificant these days.

Look on the Photograde area of this site. Compare photos. What do you think?
I tried posting the other side where I thought the I looked off.
The letters were punched into the 1829 half dime dies by hand, so sometimes the spacing or height is a little irregular.
These types of variations are what allows us to identify each of the dies, using the Logan-McCloskey book.
It appears to an LM-13. I can't decide if it LM-13.1 or 13.2. Both are common varieties. The differences are only due to die wear and clashes. They are the same variety.
Dies wear over time, and sometimes the two dies come together without a coin blank between them. This causes marks that can appear on eiher side from the design features. In other words part of the reverse design is on the obverse and vise versa.

Welcome aboard! I don't think so, it would be a great album coin though.
