THIS IS NOT A CAC THREAD....

....in the traditional sense.
More of an OCD thread. Doesn't it just look WRONG on that side of the holder?
I had to share....I feel better now.

Take a deep breath. It will be ok. Guessing they didn’t want to cover the large stars designation.
So I'm guessing when you see this kind of thing, it makes your blood pressure go up, yes?(Not my coin, not my auction...only using to annoy op)
It does look weird over there.

...especially when it covers up part of the Gold Shield. -or- Perhaps the sticker location is based upon the handedness of the applicator?

Missed that, apparently. But it is nice to know I'm not alone.
you would think they would of had some thought about the stickers before they created them. Would really like to hear an explanation about size shape and placement. Why cant it be a smaller sticker?
Best place to buy !

Thanks for posting. The obverse must be beat up pretty good.
Why not put the bean at the top center over the PCGS Grade? I will balance the slab. Plus, I've been reading that the CAC sticker is the most important part of the "package."
BTW This is a CAC thread now.
Not my coin but it does happen I guess,

Does seem out of place.
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
I will not be held responsible for the blood and carnage of a CAC thread!
(Damn....Should have posted a picture of someone wearing their baseball cap backwards....)

Not mine anymore:
I think it's nice they use a few brain cells and try to put it where it doesn't mess up the information on the slab.
I think at this stage of the game, left is right and right is wrong.

PCGS and NGC should be more accommodating of CAC. I think both services should modify the label to leave a space for the sticker.
In some instances I'd bet it has more to do with not wanting to cover up the cert number.
I came up with this mockup awhile back....don't remember why.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
It wouldn't bother me at all. I'd rather have it on the opposite side, than not be able to read the designation on the insert.

I'm not sure why they don't put it right in the center of the holder, in the middle of the coin. Once it has a bean, no one looks at the coin anymore, do they?
THIS IS NOT A CAC THREAD....
Sure appears to be one,,,,,,,,,,
bottom left hand corner of slab, no wording, no coin, that way it can be uniform for all coins, imho
Why not put them on vertically? Seems to be more room with it running long-wise North to South.
Its not a true CAC thread until Bill Jones and then specialist show up
Why not on the reverse so as not to distract? Yes, I know, silly question.
You are correct. In the examples above when an added variety description is noted, they put it to the left to avoid covering any portion of the cert.
This is not a reply.

Obviously CAC places their sticker wherever they can so it doesn't cover any important label information.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
"Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value---zero."----Voltaire
"Everything you say should be true, but not everything true should be said."----Voltaire
That would make it REALLY hard to see flpping through boxes or stacks to locate.
This thread is further affirmation of the OCD of coin collectors....
Cheers, RickO
Isn't it time you wiped down some slabs?
Left handed grader this time perhaps ?????

Why did they put that sticker over a chisel?
Because it's a really choice chisel?
A lot of research goes into creating and marketing any product, and psychology is heavily relied upon. I wonder if there is some special meaning or symbolism to the CAC sticker always being on the "right side" from the customer's perspective. I mean this as a serious inquiry and not a troll post.
Sometimes, it just boils down to being right- or left-handed.
Didn't think of that, good point
Just make the sticker smaller .Problem solved:)
Sticker applied over the Variety info (S-4), when it could have been placed over the Gold Shield portion, and vice-versa;

I prefer the 2nd placement.
