Ever look back at auction results and NOT remember a coin you won?

I was looking at some Heritage auctions from back in 2007-2009. I remembered most of them, but there was one particular coin that showed I had won that I still cannot figure out why I wanted it or even remember ever receiving! Lol! Senility setting in perhaps? ![]()

I've found stuff in my SDB that I wondered when I bought it and how much I paid for it - and never remember buying.
They say your memory is the second thing to go...
(Yeah, I'm throwing stones in my glass house. What's your point?
)
No, but the number of bids I place is limited and usually for significant items. If I don't win something, that might fade from my memory, but I recall it if I am doing a search on the Heritage site.
So what is the first thing? Your money?

I am sure that this happens to dealers who buy and sell many coins. Aside from the highlights, there are many coins and tokens that I handled when I was a dealer that I would not recognize today.
When searching through some coin storage containers, I will get surprised by a coin - 'Where did I get this?' and 'When?'.... Usually - though not always - a bit of memory dredging provides the answer. Sometimes the surprise coin gets moved to a more honorable level of storage. This is not necessarily a memory issue... just so many coins and so many years. I am not complaining... both of those are good to have in quantity...

This was the coin. Not a bad looking Bay Bridge I if am being honest...but I did not collect commemoratives and since I was never a dealer, don't think I was considering it for someone else?? Of course I have no idea what happened to it either! Lol. Just odd.
