lets edit both of our posts before leaving a scar to other members?

I appreciate your catch & suggestion, but unless the mods tells me otherwise, I’ll leave my post as is.

I havent heard sample slabs mentioned yet. It's not a huge segment, but has a niche type interest that seems to be growing, albeit slowly. And that's ok by me.

Circulated toned silver. They bring little to no premium over melt.

They’re cool looking coins, I’ll be glad to pay more than melt if you decide to sell them.

As a collector of Lincolniana, I've collected a lot of Lincoln-related philatelic material. Told my kids to hang onto it for the great great grandchildren and then evaluate. Had a lot of fun though. No regrets.

When I started to collect 19th century presidential campaign tokens, there was not much interest in most them. The pieces that were connected to the Hard Times and Civil War token series had a following, but many of the others did not.

Dealers took shots at prices. The dealers who didn't know much about tokens usually over priced them. Those that did know tokens were more in-line. All of that has changed to day. I got blow out of the water in the latest Heritage political sale. Everything thing seemed to go high, even without the 25% buyers' fee. :o

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

None of my collection even cares about the market - at least, it never asked me anything.

Three cent nickels have been a fascination of mine for a long time. They were minted in tiny numbers for circulation all the way up to 1889.

A series that I bailed on several years ago, along with others................

Circulated buffalo nickels. Sold a VF set a couple years ago for an embarrassing price.

    Franklin half dollars.

At least it's been fun collecting 'em. Fond memories growing up in the 1950's.

And mostly relatively inexpensive. With a few exceptions:
