PS I learned a long time ago not to call the IRS with tax questions.

Lincoln Cents were the small collectors’ and YNs favorites. Sure there were coins like the 1909-S-VDB and 1914-D which were expense, but in low grade, they were possible. Then the mint came along with these miserable Omega coins with 5 figure prices which cut the little collectors out.

The Government has multi trillions of dollars. Did it really need a few tens of millions from sales of over priced cents? No. Shame on the mint.
