I remember getting a few phone calls and emails in mid 2006 on this set as it was marketed as the best thing since sliced bread to some collector friends known to have deeper pockets.

What a great set and what a wonderful find! I assembled a 1913 Proof set about a year, but the coins were not an original set. I bought it in pieces.
Many years ago I bought an original 1909 Proof set. The dealer from whom I bought it claimed that he got the original wrapers with the set, but didn't keep them because they were in bad shape. Too bad. I would have liked to have had them.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I like the envelope and seals. I have some that some early commens came in and could not garner any intrest in them on fleabay a few years back.

I think you would have had much better luck with those envelopes here on the BST forum.

They should all be slabbed in one plastic holder so they never part company.
