    That is a nice set!!!!!!!!

I like the envelope and seals. I have some that some early commens came in and could not garner any intrest in them on fleabay a few years back.

I think you would have had much better luck with those envelopes here on the BST forum.

I remember getting a few phone calls and emails in mid 2006 on this set as it was marketed as the best thing since sliced bread to some collector friends known to have deeper pockets.

Breathtaking! A collector's dream. You lucky dog!

They should all be slabbed in one plastic holder so they never part company.

oh i know...by all rights a special holder should of been made to include it's envelope and holder inside

    WOW!

What a great set and what a wonderful find! I assembled a 1913 Proof set about a year, but the coins were not an original set. I bought it in pieces.

Many years ago I bought an original 1909 Proof set. The dealer from whom I bought it claimed that he got the original wrapers with the set, but didn't keep them because they were in bad shape. Too bad. I would have liked to have had them.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I believe we handled that set a few years back. Those photos in this thread definitely did not do those coins justice.

I thought I remembered seeing images of this set in the past. Five years or so I think.image

I didn't get in on the OP in Febuary 2006 but I did reply in August of 2008. My, how time flies but great coins are always great coins.

    I enjoyed! I enjoyed a lot!

But I'd enjoy it more if you sent it to me so I could properly enjoy it in person. image

PS- aha- another thread resurrection, eh? Oh, well. I still enjoyed it, even if the thread was seven years old.
