GIVE TONERS A BREAK TONITE - Post Your Favorite Tidy Whities

In 1960 the worn out master die for the Franklin Half was re-worked. New life was brought to the coin in the detail of the hair, the three wisps by Franklin's ear, and the Pass and Stow on the bell. The one area that Gilroy Roberts didn't pay much attention to was the Bell Lines. Hence 1960's FBL Franklins are among the toughest to find, especially in higher grades, because as mintages went up and up, so did bag handling marks. Only a lucky few got to stay in pristine condition. This is an MS65FBL - what tidy whities have you got?

Uhhh, I'll need to get back with you on that one. Hey, I got a roll of white 1964 JFK's that I "Cherry-picked"
one buy one years ago. They're in the safe box (that's right in the safe box
and scan them one by one and post each one OK?
That may be very tidy, but it ain't all whitie.
They are really gorgeous if you take a look at the high resolution photo links provided below.

<< <i>Hey Pug, what are all those 'tics' on Old Baldy? on the plastic? I wouldn't think a 65 would allow that if it's on the coin...
The marks that you see on the coin are highly magnified and do not distract from the overall appeal of the coin in hand. I've seen better MS65's that push the envelope of MS66, but we have to keep in mind still that MS65 is half way between perfect and something that may look like it's gone through a grinder. Overal I'd say this coin - conditionwise is average for the grade, what may be giving it a boost in the eyes of the graders is the incredible luster which the coin has.

<< <i>Hey - even the bard posted one!
Oh my, our poor old bard. Apparently his mind is going. If that is a Tidy Whitie, then so is this.
