Look up Milk Spots under search. And yes copper with spots is hard to belive in MS67RD. Makes you wonder if something better than sonic sealing is needed. -

Good discussion Silver Baron. Another suggestion: You can often find silver Eagles at a little above spot. As a bullion investor, I would not pay much above spot for Eagles, even the 1996 "key date." Milk spotted Eagles can be found for slightly under spot. Eagles are minted by the US, a guarantee of weight and purity.… -

Be careful. Most 1922 Peace Dollars with milk spots came directly from the mint that way. Apparently there was an issue with their planchet preparation that year. I think this VAM is a tremendous pickup, especially raw. I agree with the acetone idea - not for the spots but for some of the other random crud. I would not… -

Does the first minute milk spot knock the coin out of the 70 grade? Is PCGS still guaranteeing the 70 grade on moderns? -

The spots have a similar shape that many Peace$ have that are thought from the rinse at the mint. Your's just appear to be darker imo. The spots I'm thinking of as far as I know will not come off.
