AT or NT? Also, can anyone comment on the spotting that is present on both the obverse and reverse? Are these milk spots like those we see on modern ASE proofs? Anyone have an idea on current market value for this particular piece? Thanks for your insights in advance. Best regards, -

Man, if it looks like that through the celo, you have a monster on your hands! Now, as to the spots; it will depend on the nature. If it is the standard milk spots that are common in these years, and it's only a couple, it won't hurt the grade at PCGS as much as one might think it would. They'll toast a coin (gradewise)… -

I'll give this a bump to see if there are any other ideas I can try. They've been sitting in acetone (and I agitate the liquid around a bit sometimes) for 4 days. one truly never knows what makes up crust in crusty but i know some like their coins crusty but on topic of milk spotted eagles or black spotted zincons i'd think if an answer is found it would be without option offered but thought in same a general safe conservation i'd think could be offered -

The few normal bullion ones I've seen have been spot free (small sample size). I briefly owned a Proof one (I believe 2018) that did have milk spots (which seemed odd to me as I thought the proofs would have better quality control based on the much higher premiums). -
Back to the Mint !!!
I do like that Marine Dollar. I don't like the quality of the product. Just got in my replacement coins. They look as bad as the first set. Lint spots. Milk Spots. Sent em back again and this time i want my money back. I'm so disappointed. Anyone else have the same issue? -

With early reports of milk spotting problems, I decided to open them for inspection. Imagine how you would feel if you sent your unopened shipment to PCGS for First Strike designation and the coins were all spotted? No thanks. At that point you can't send them back to the mint and you are out the grading fees. -
