Re: Would you ...Could you ?
I buy plenty of genuine coins from guys in China, and some of them speak even worse English than the example in the OP. By and large, the average collector in China is WAY more frustrated by the counterfeit problem than folks here in the states. One of the largest forums/auctions on the Chinese internet (Coinsky) has even… -
Re: My bootleg story
Bootleg, Let me first welcome you to the forum. I have finally decided that you are not a scammer and for that reason, most will be willing to help you. Despite your well intentions however, you are not very knowledgable about coins, grading, errors, rub, toning, strike, luster, eye appeal, the market, rim filings,… -

Re: Anybody else having this Paypal problem???
Was happening to me as well - had to do with the email spam filter. Unfortunately, sometimes even though I didn't change the settings, the settings somehow changed. Just a guess but may have had something to do with the way the email system changes to combat spammers, and the PayPal emails sometimes get diagnosed as spam. -

Talk About US Coin Forum Irony!

There is a spammer, bot, troll, whatever one would like to classify it as, on the CU site and I attempted to flag the numerous posts for the moderators so that they could remove them. However, I guess I type too efficiently as this is the pop-up I received when I attempted to flag the third thread- I got put on an… -
Re: Forum etiquette for posting a cool piece during live auction that you won't be bidding on but want t
If you truly don't have a financial interest in it, I suppose there would not be a problem. The trouble is there is a fine line between a numismatic interest and spam activity, which is met to promote a given item. How do you separate the honest guys from the spammers? That is a tough question. Generally I would wait until… -
Re: What do you all think about Coin Talk?
Its where I mainly post at under the name Mat. I enjoy it. Mods arent too bad. Some posters can be a pile of @($& like mrbrklyn, I want him banned cause he's just a spammer. But there is knowledgeable folks on there just as there is on here. Nice thing is threads dont get pushed down as quickly as they do here. -
Re: Greysheet help please.
<< <i>Does anyone have pictures of the 1886 Hot 50 Vam-1C? I'd like to see them. >> Considering that you currently have one listed at live auction on ebay tells me that you're either a complete f'ing idiot, or just another scumbag spammer. Edited to add image below for those truly interested in the variety. -
Re: just a heads up on a new virus thats starting to appear....
MicroS**t Outhouse is just an enabler for virus and spam traffic. The lack of a status bar to reveal the URL for links in HTML mail and the inability to view HTML source without opening a message is unpardonable. Should also be able to suppress downloading of internet images. Spammers use them to get a serverside read…
