Re: What do you all think about Coin Talk?
Its where I mainly post at under the name Mat. I enjoy it. Mods arent too bad. Some posters can be a pile of @($& like mrbrklyn, I want him banned cause he's just a spammer. But there is knowledgeable folks on there just as there is on here. Nice thing is threads dont get pushed down as quickly as they do here. -
Re: Forum etiquette for posting a cool piece during live auction that you won't be bidding on but want t
If you truly don't have a financial interest in it, I suppose there would not be a problem. The trouble is there is a fine line between a numismatic interest and spam activity, which is met to promote a given item. How do you separate the honest guys from the spammers? That is a tough question. Generally I would wait until… -
Re: Greysheet help please.
<< <i>Does anyone have pictures of the 1886 Hot 50 Vam-1C? I'd like to see them. >> Considering that you currently have one listed at live auction on ebay tells me that you're either a complete f'ing idiot, or just another scumbag spammer. Edited to add image below for those truly interested in the variety. -
Re: Another Carl's Coins Proof Silver Commem Giveaway - ended 9/7
Sorry about that! If anybody has problems registering please send me a message with any error messages or a description of what went wrong. I'm cranking down on security to keep spammers out - hopefully I'm not keeping any good guys out too! I can always create an account for you manually if need be. Thank you for trying! -
Re: just a heads up on a new virus thats starting to appear....
MicroS**t Outhouse is just an enabler for virus and spam traffic. The lack of a status bar to reveal the URL for links in HTML mail and the inability to view HTML source without opening a message is unpardonable. Should also be able to suppress downloading of internet images. Spammers use them to get a serverside read… -
Re: New grading service called POGS claims to be the best!

Haha, that reminds me. I took out my pocket piece morgan silver dollar one day to pretend to buy a snack for 99 cents, and the guy said it would make a great pog slammer! Do they have a website? With a name like "over" in there the name doesn't even make much sense. As primitive as it looks, it's probably a homemade one. -

Re: Mark on card affects the grade by how much?
It's been said - it'll get a "MK" qualifier. If you are looking to send this card in, do not buy it. I've ran into "PSA Gradable" cards too. Damn key-word spammers. I'm still waiting for someone to legally change their name to Paco Sanchez Acevedo, so they can include their initals in the auction title... Brian -
Re: Never pay another auction listing fee
The site needs a BIG header that tells folks about the listing-fee change. Burying the announcement in the newsletter is no good. "Free Listings.......Forever!" See Newsletter For Full Details ! ............................................... The three-letter search issue has to be solved. Immediately. (A graded-card… -
Re: What's with PCGS?
Been collecting since 1974. I'm with "SEATTLE SLAMMER" LUSTER. LUSTER, LUSTER, LUSTER, LUSTER. Ever seen a coin in a MS66 holder with weak strikes but has a luster to die for. Strikes of a MS67 no luster because its been dipped and all the luster is stripped from it comes back in a bag, but most will take the one with the…
