Re: RDV-006 (FEP) Photo Thief on EBay
<<I've noticed that many VAM listings show Pictures from VAMWorld and don't make it real clear that the pictures are not of the coin being sold.>> I agree....but, they also aren't fraudulently claiming to be the author and photographer of that particular VAMWorld section, like THIS guy did when he first listed the coin for… -
Re: EBAY FB Change Could Kill Sellers Of High-Value Sports Cards
Most sellers of high value cards should be OK. They are talking about DSR of 4.5 or better, it isn't really hard to keep your #s above that. Nice scan, ship when paid, tell the buyer it is on the way, don't rip them off shipping wise, pretty easy in my opinion. I would assume people with high value cards have some idea… -
Re: So I don't have a camera. I can no longer sell pcgs coins on ebay?

<< <i> << <i> << <i>I'm surprised anybody would list coins without images. Russ, NCNE >> I agree, it's not like you are going to get less money for taking a good pictiure of the coin you are selling. Unless there is something wrong with it. >> What about unopened boxes of USMint coins???? THere are times to list without… -
Re: Rant - John B. Hamrick & Co. - UPDATED 5/23!
At least you got a response... I sent 3 messages and have not heard a thing back. I have already sent a postal money order including the $8.00 shipping that was supposed to be free asking for a refund (Geez, I guess I really am dumb or narrow minded)! Auction link I will leave my first negative on the last possible day at… -
Re: 1953 Topps Lottery- is anyone buying this?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Not sure that it is a scam. Guy is a board member. Benefit of the doubt should be given here. Perhaps 53toppscollector is just being creative? The description points everything out. While I will not be buying I wish him luck. Not all on ebay are scammers, especially those that spell it out as he has… -
Re: Can this 1956 Mantle be real?
Sure is adamant about no pickup. Yes, PayPal doesn't protect the seller if an item is picked up, and the seller may know that, but still unless I could pickup the item and pay with cash or money order, something like that, then I'm not bidding on it. Just a feeling, I may be wrong, that this seller isn't new to ebay - but… -
Re: Why do the majority of Ebay sellers insist the buyer leave feedback first?

<< <i>Does a buyer who uses a stolen credit card and ends up getting the item for free while the seller gets the shaft deserve a positive feedback. And just how often is THAT happening? 1 out of 1000? 1 out of 10,000? >> i dunno, but 2 people on this board alone were scammed by one buyer who filed credit card chargebacks..… -
Re: Strange coin auction.
I thought this seller name seemed familiar, and I just realized why. He had a group of 25 "unopened" proof sets listed that I eMailed him about. Since the picture in the auction is an open set, I asked him for images of the batch of 25. He replied with some crap about how the sets were on the way to him, so he had to use a… -
Re: PayPal Stole My Money!
<< <i>Doesn't matter to PayPal. If you do not have tracking info that can be viewed online, you lose, period. This is why I have have prepared to get a merchant account to take cards directly, I've had enough of their nonsense. >> I have a merchant account (for my real job). Fortunately, we don't deal with scammers, and… -
Re: Bogus cahier's checks being passed
<< <i> << <i>3763 E. Colorado Blvd. Ste 102 Pasadena, Ca. 91107 >> That address is for a company called Box and Send Etc, which provides mail drop services. Russ, NCNE >> With the new postal regulations covering mail drop services, it should be a lot easier to identify the bad guy. Just a few miles away from Pasadena, in…
