It looks like a really beat up contemporary counterfeit from the 19th century. Even if it were real, PCGS would not have graded it. It’s been damaged, not worn, which is the requirement for a straight graded Poor-1. -

My favourite silver coins are German 90% silver coins. The ½ Mark, 1 Mark & 5 Reichsmark are often available in quantity for spot or even a little less while the Vereinsthaler coins and 2, 3 & 5 Mark coins usually carry a little premium. Can anyone explain how this happened? Is the coin now worth an exorbitant amount of $? is it worth having it graded? way too many questions for a broken 1 Cent coin.. thank you all for your input. H -

Thank you for your detailed answer. It's interesting to see this through the perspective of grading company population reports. I'm in Germany and I always buy "junk" ½ & 1 Mark coins if I can find them for spot price or a little bit less - and it's really tough to find pre 1910 coins in better grades for sure! But since… -

1875-present Swiss 1-franc coins wanted
I am contemplating a collection of the 1875-2025 Standing Helvetia type Swiss 1-franc coins (KM24 in silver and KM24a in copper-nickel). For the 1875-1967 silver coins I would prefer Fine or better. No stains, spots, damage. For the 1968-present copper-nickel coins I would pay $1.00 apiece as long as they're VF or better… -

Question about 1/1 items
I am not into moderm cards too much, but happen to like this player. I came across 2 items that have 1/1 labels, but appear to be the same thing. Can anyone elighten me on what makes something a 1/1?
