1975 OPC Groups Rip Results - couple of Pop 1/1 with a PSA 10

I know this isn’t very exciting for a lot of you, but I thought I would share. Couple of submissions just returned from the Group rip of 1975 OPC back in March.
A few highlights:

MINT 9 1975 O-PEE-CHEE 478 TOM BURGMEIER Pop 1/1 none higher
MINT 9 1975 O-PEE-CHEE 539 JESSE JEFFERSON Pop 1/5 none higher
GEM MINT 10 1975 O-PEE-CHEE 545 BILLY WILLIAMS Pop 1/1
MINT 9 1975 O-PEE-CHEE 612 TERRY HUGHES Pop 1/1 none higher

As far as pricing a PSA 10, or any of the POP 1 of 1, what are your thoughts on both a starting price and/or a buy it now on ebay or an asking price here or else where? I know the OPC aren’t nearly as collectible as the Topps. The Williams 9 sold for approx. $80 according to SMR. Would appreciate your thoughts!

  • Whether people find it interesting or not. I collect the Topps version, and I must say, Way to Go with your poppage.

    Congrats!

  • Thanks guys, yea I was pretty excited, my first pop 1/1 PSA 10 and a hall of famer, not a Mantle, but like I said, I was pretty excited when I saw it!

Terrific grades there! I'm sending in a few myself which look razor sharp as well...wish Steve had another box of these!

If you don't mind me asking, did you send in just these 4 cards or were these cards part of a larger sub?

  • I hope they sell really well. I have a POP 1 PSA 10 #190 1952 MVP Shantz/Sauer and some other PSA 8's on Ebay now. They were from the same rip.

Had a sub of 92 total cards, with 14 from the rip. Most were 8's, couple of 7's (i'm not fluent in judging how PSA grades obviously) and an N6 Minimum Size Requirement. Like I said, new at this and obviously not very good at grading

I am trying to complete a 1975 OPC Cincinnati Reds team set in PSA 8 or higher. I have about half of the set. Hopefully there will be some for sale from these rips.

I paid around $80 for my Santo 1975 OPC on ebay a few months ago. It was a pop 2 PSA 10.

psa 9's and 10's are going for much more than they used to. I sold a couple ( I think one was the jefferson that you just got back) a montha go for 40 or 45 each for psa 9's on fixed price. these cards used to go unsold at 15 bucks which is the only reason I still had them
