Vacuum Seal 20th SAE Anniversary Sets???
I have seen lots of talk about milk spots on graded SAE coins on this forum. Some one suggested to vacuum seal the RAW sets to prevent milk spots/toning. Thoughts??? -

The ngc picture is too fuzzy for me to tell, at least on my phone 🤔 but I do see the greenish coloration and lack of milk spot - however as I understand it milk spots can occur even after it's slabbed if I'm not mistaken. -

Well, if you bought a PR68 from me I'm sure it was a premium undergraded bargain-priced value-packed example, downgraded only for a few barely visible miniscule hairlines, so it wouldn't be a good comparison. In real-life, the differences often aren't miniscule. For example, a PCGS PR68 will allow for a big milk spot in… -

I bought a roll of 2010 Silver Maple Leafs and more than half the coins have already developed white milk spots or smears. A lot worse than the American Silver Eagles. How do you remove the milk spots? -

I cannot determine if they are only milk spots or early PVC.... however, an acetone bath would be advised... If milk spots, it will not help, if PVC, it will remove it. Either way, acetone will remove any organics, but no harm to the coin. Cheers, RickO -
